Our lab’s main research interests are in the area of peer-to-peer networks, multimedia processing, information and coding theory and collaborative signal processing. The theme of our lab is to design highly robust large scale systems comprising of unreliable individual entities.

  1. A. Dimakis , P.B. Godfrey , M.J. Wainwright , K. Ramchandran , "Network Coding for Distributed Storage Systems", IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, Sep. 2010, received the Communications Society and Information Theory Society Joint Paper Award.

  1. Venkatesan Ekambaram is a recipient of the Qualcomm Roberto Padovani Scholarship 2012.

  1. Rashmi Vinayak is a recipient of the Facebook fellowship 2012-13.

  1. Venkatesan Ekambaram,  Kannan Ramchandran and  Raja Sengupta were one of the winners of the US  Department of Transportation's Connected Vehicle Technology Challenge.

  1. Hao Zhang, Chuohao Yeo and Kannan Ramchandran received the best short paper award in ACM Multimedia 2008.
